Diane holds an MS degree in Earth Sciences from Montana State University in Bozeman, emphasizing GIS, remote sensing, historical and cultural geography, and GIS education. For the Montana State Library, she serves as the Montana Geographic Names MSDI theme steward and the Montana Geographic Names Advisor to the U.S. Board on Geographic Names. A native of New Hampshire, Diane has worked in state, local, and federal government as well as the private sector in the Rocky Mountain West since 1988.
