GIS-Pro 2013 has ended
GIS Pro 2013: URISA’s 51st Annual Conference for GIS Professionals.  The conference will take place at the Rhode Island Convention Center which is connected directly by a skywalk to our Headquarters’ Hotel, the Omni Providence (previously the Westin Providence)  http://www.urisa.org/gispro2013

Geney Terry GISP MGIS

Geney Terry, GISP, MGIS, is a GIS professional with 20 years of experience.  Her education includes Bachelor’s degrees in Planning from Virginia Tech and Management Information Systems from California State University, Sacramento.  She also earned a Master’s in GIS from Penn State..

Ms. Terry worked for El Dorado County in California for 22 years of which 18 were spent working in GIS.  She is now spending time establishing her consulting firm, Geospatial Information Solutions LLC.  Geney also works part-time as a Grading Assistant for Penn State in their Professional GIS certificate and Master’s program.

Ms. Terry's volunteer activities are focused primarily on URISA International and the Northern California Chapter, as well as GISCI.  She is the founder of the chapter and a past President.  Geney has also served on the URISA Board of Directors, as Chair of GIS-Pro 2011, and is currently the Chair of the Workshop Development Committee.  She has participated on the GISCI Ethics Committee since its inception in 2006, serving as Chair from 2006-2010 and continuing as a committee member.  Geney's participation with GISCI followed her work on the URISA Certification Committee which developed the program.  Her involvement with the Certification Program includes involvement in finalizing the GIS Code of Ethics and co-authoring the GISCI Rules of Conduct with the members of the Ethics Committee
