Maptionary!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Description: Think pictionary, but for maps! Teams will be formed to recreate a map, but access to the map is restricted.  The best recreated map (according to the audience) will win a prize!

Process:
Divide all participants into 4 groups(determine max number of people per group). Each group will be given a correct map and another image of the same map but distorted. Each group will be given 20 sec. to look at the first image and start trying to replicate the image as a group. Each group has the ability to look at the map, but each time the map will be flipped to the other image. So one turn they see the correct map and another time they see the distorted map. Between each viewing the participants will have to wait 7 minutes before they can look at the map again(we can determine a different time). The goal for each group is to recreate the image. Once the game has started those entering the event late will not be able to join in, but are rather automatically part of the audience used to judge this event. Each group will present their map to everyone else and then we will reveal that there were in fact two different maps that they were looking at. At the end there will be a raffle or we need to determine what it means for them to win. Should the winner be the group that recreates a map that matches one of the images presented or do we want the winner to be the group that draws the most distorted image combining components from both maps?
