Women in GIS: Moving the Profession Forward

Our panelists will discuss both the opportunities and challenges faced by women in the GIS Profession and the keys to their success. Hear each unique GIS story and then participate in small group discussions that will focus on: the definition of success; achieving effectiveness in the workplace; education paths / career paths; earning respect; and competition in the workforce. The session will wrap up with a discussion about the ideas that emerged and an action plan for continuing to support Women in GIS moving forward.
